Call for New Board Members
We are seeking two new members to join our dedicated volunteer board: one to serve as Secretary, and another as Member-at-Large.
Commitment: Meetings every two months (or as needed), generally in the evenings, mostly remote (but occasionally in person). Advance tasks in the interim between meetings.
Required skills:
- Interest in (and support for) Trellis’ core mission: https://trelliswork.ca/
- Ability to take succinct minutes (for the Secretary role)
- Ability to work within shared Google Docs
- Ability to liaise with non-profit partners (each Board member is partnered with 1-2 community
partners)
Bonus skills, but not required in each person:
- Experience in governance of non-profit or charitable entities
- Strategic planning
- Grant writing expertise
- Ability to use WordPress to make changes on the website

The Board will set up an initial conversation mid-January, to assess fit and answer questions about what is involved.
